What is Conriso
We bring small groups together in real life, over a shared meal and a topic that matters.
Every new person brings a fresh perspective, a new possibility, sometimes a new friendship. Yet we're more digitally connected than ever, while meeting new people in real life is getting harder.
Conriso makes it easy by combining three ingredients:
Something you already do
Everyone eats and drinks, every day, across six different formats, from morning coffee to evening drinks, so there's one that fits the life you're already living.
A topic that sparks real talk
Every table has a topic people find relevant, and stays small, 2–6 people, so it's a real conversation, not a conference.
Light topic Art, Travel, Movies, Food…
Thoughtful topic Business, Crossroads, Life goals…
A place you can see upfront
You always know the venue before you join, the spot, the setting, the details, so you can pick the table that feels right for you.

Thoughtful lunch on career sabbaticals hosted by founder
When people meet in real life over a topic they care about, and food they all enjoy, they truly connect.
And the name?
Con, from conversation. Riso: Italian for rice, and for laughter. Rice is also one of the world's most universal foods, a staple for over half the planet, fitting for a table we want to feel just as universal, inclusive, and full of good vibes.
How it works
Host a table, or join one.
Here's exactly how hosting and joining work.
Host-led tables
Anyone can host a table. You pick the topic and the venue, and steer the table once everyone's there.
Conriso curated tables
Conriso picks the topic and venue. There's no individual host, so the group steers the table together.
Women-only tables
Women hosts can choose to make their table women-only, visible and joinable by women only.
Open, or request to join
Some tables need the host's approval before you're in, others let you join right away. It's the host's choice.
Hosting, in three steps
Your first table, on us!
The first 5 hosts get their meal cost reimbursed up to €20 when at least 3 people reserve through Conriso, on top of the free join credit every host earns.
Set up and publish your table
Hosting is free, and you're in control. Choose the meal, topic, venue, time, and whether you want to approve who joins. If the venue requires a reservation, book it before publishing.
Manage and prepare
Approve or decline join requests, share your table, add it to your calendar, and message confirmed joiners with any reservation details.
Meet people, earn a free join credit
Sit down together and enjoy good food and a conversation built around your topic. Show up with at least one confirmed joiner and earn a free join credit for next time.
Joining, in three steps
Browse and reserve your seat
See the topic, host, venue, and time upfront, so you know exactly what you're joining. Reserve your seat with a €5 seat fee, then pay for your own food and drinks at the venue.
Manage and prepare
Check your request status, add the table to your calendar, and share it with your network. Once your seat is confirmed, get a group overview and a glimpse of shared interests and topics to help you get ready for the conversation.
Show up and connect
Meet at a public venue at a set time. No endless group chats, just good food and a conversation worth having.
After the table
One short form afterwards, and what it does for your next table.
Tell us how it went
Share how your table went and answer two quick questions about the people you met: Did they show up? Would you recommend them? Your feedback is always private and never shared with the person. It helps us improve Conriso and keep the community safe.
Stay in touch, if it's mutual
On the same form, you can choose anyone you'd like to stay in touch with. If they choose you too, you'll both receive each other's email. If not, nothing happens and they'll never know you asked.
Your next table
If someone you wouldn't recommend is already joining a table, we'll let you know before you join. We won't tell you who, so the decision is still yours. That's why honest feedback matters.
What makes it different
No small talk. No giant meetups. No endless coordination.
Control and flexibility
Host a table, or join one. Topic, venue, and timing are always your choice, across six meal types, from morning coffee to evening drinks, so there's one for any part of your day.
Small group, topic-led
Topic adds a layer on top of food, to bring the right people together. 2–6 people around one topic, intimate enough for a conversation that actually goes somewhere.
Safety and privacy
Always a public venue, and women-only tables are possible. Contact details stay private too, even while messaging between host and joiner.
Simple by design
Every table has a set time and venue upfront, so there's no back-and-forth or big group chats to coordinate.
"The meal is the container. The conversation is the pull. Together they make an everyday meal more meaningful."

Founder story
We all need new people in our lives.
Hi, I'm Yiwei, the founder of Conriso. I'm originally from China, and I've called the Netherlands home for the past 13 years.
For a decade I worked in travel and food tech, helping people better enjoy two of my favourite things. :) Over that time, and through a lot of travelling and meeting people from very different walks of life, I became fascinated by something simple: how much we're shaped by the new people we meet.
A single conversation with someone outside your usual circle can hand you an idea, a perspective, sometimes a friendship, that you'd never have found otherwise. You see something of yourself in them that you weren't even aware of, and suddenly your own life feels wider, full of more possibilities than you'd noticed.
